Back to top Buying a used car? Key Considerations! A late-model used vehicle in good condition can be one of the best auto values youll find. You can typically buy a vehicle for thousands less than it cost when new. Or you can buy one that you wouldnt be able to afford new. Back to top The purchase price and monthly payments on a used vehicle are
considerably lower than on a new one. The risks of buying a used vehicle center on the possibility of it needing expensive repairs that arent covered by a warranty. You can minimize this risk by having a vehicle thoroughly checked out by a mechanic before buying. It is a good idea to get a qualified mechanic to check out the vehicle before you purchase it. AA Ireland has a good servive that will inspect a 100 items on a used car. Also, check with the Garda or Vehicle Registration Office to check the current owner. Always ask to see the owners certificate and owners identification. Check with your bank to make sure that there are no outstanding loans or leans on the vehicle.
